Whether you're planning a birthday party, a wedding reception, a baby shower, or a work event, La Dragon's Champagne Lounge is the ideal luxury venue for hosting events.

La Dragon’s Champagne Lounge is available for your exclusive use on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during two windows of time: noon to 5 pm, or 6 pm to closing. This space suits parties of 25 to 50 adults and offers in-house catering or the option to supply your own food. Please note that due to licensing we cannot admit under 18s to the Lounge.


Drinks

A Minimum Bar Spend (MBS) applies with a 50% deposit required to secure your booking. The bar spend balance/MBS shortfall is due at the end of the event.


Food

An optional buffet package is available for your guests at £10 per head, or you are welcome to arrange your own catering.

Champagne Lounge booking terms

  • Over 18s only in the bar.
  • Minimum Bar Spend (MBS) applies.
  • 50% of MBS is required as a non-refundable deposit to secure the booking. Your booking is only provisional until we receive the deposit.
  • The remaining bar spend or MBS shortfall must be paid at the end of the event.
  • Any food orders must be paid for 14 days in advance.
  • The Champagne bar offers two event sittings within licenced hours: noon to 5 pm / 6 pm to closing time.
  • A door steward can be arranged at an additional cost.
  • A small space is available if you wish to organise your own DJ or entertainment. 

Frequently asked questions

  • What is a minimum bar spend?

    A minimum bar spend (MBS) is an agreed amount of money your event must spend on beverages during the event. If the event does not meet this MBS through purchases, the host is required to pay the difference. 


    For example, if the MBS is set at £600 and the event's total spend on beverages is £400, the host would need to pay the additional £200 to meet the minimum bar spend requirement. 


  • Is my deposit refundable?

    A 50% deposit of the minimum bar spend (MBS) is required to secure your booking. This deposit is non-refundable, but it is put against your MBS. 


    For instance, if the MSB is £600, your deposit will be £300. If your total bill for drinks at the end of the night is £1,000, you will only need to pay £700 because you have already paid £300. 


  • What happens if I have to cancel?

    If you need to cancel your event, please call us as soon as possible to let us know. The deposit is non-refundable.


  • What is the capacity of the champagne lounge?

    The champagne lounge accommodates between 25 and 50 people. Please note that all guests must be 18 years old and over.


  • How far in advance do I need to book the lounge?

    The champagne lounge is available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, meaning we have plenty of availability. We ask that you give us at least two weeks' notice for your event so we can ensure we have adequate staff cover. However, if it’s shorter notice, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your event. 


  • Is a deposit required to reserve the lounge?

    Yes, 50% of the minimum bar spend is required as a non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. Your booking is only provisional until the deposit is received. 


  • What is included with the exclusive lounge use?

    When booking our champagne lounge, you will have your own bartender/s, access to our extensive drinks menu, and a private space to celebrate your event. 


    An optional buffet package is available for your guests at £10 per head, or you can arrange your own catering. 


    There is also a small space available for your own entertainment, band, singer, or a DJ.

     

  • Can we play our own music?

    You are welcome to arrange live entertainment or a DJ. Alternatively, you can play your own music – please contact us about this in advance so we can set this up for you.  


  • Are decorations allowed?

    We want you to celebrate your event with your chosen decorations and styling. Please let us know what you plan to decorate with so we can find the best method for hanging decorations and organise a suitable time for access. 


    Please note that decorations are only allowed inside the Champagne Bar space, and must not require fixing using any method that damages the interior decor or fixtures.


  • Is outside food or drink allowed?

    You are welcome to organise your own catering for the event, but outside drinks are prohibited. Our skilled bartenders can create anything from our drinks menu, including cocktails, mocktails, delicious wines, and craft beer. 


  • Can we have a site visit before booking the lounge?

    Absolutely. If you require a site visit before booking, contact us and we will arrange a suitable time for you to see the venue. 


  • Is the lounge accessible for guests with disabilities?

    We welcome all guests over 18 to our champagne lounge, but please be aware that we do not have a lift, and there are a few steps up to the champagne bar.
